Binary Badass

The number one reason why I haven’t updated my blog since November 2007 is because of a rather large career development. When the owners of my previous employer, a family-owned business where I am directly related to the owners decided to sell their business, I decided to move on, lest a Tommy Boy situation occur. Essentially, I didn’t want them to be able to use me for my last name which has become synonymous with things in the industry that I used to work in.

I won’t slander my former employer nor their new management; but I will just diplomatically say that that there are advantages and disadvantages to a sale like this. Fortunately, I had plenty of advance notice of the sale and was able to find another job fairly easily. A job with prestige, a job with a premier employer in this online world, an employer who innovates; yes ladies and gentlemen, I found a job at Google.

While I cannot blog about things from work, I can blog about other things related to my life, IT and open source in general. Nothing really changes from the past when you think about it. Questions, comments, concerns? Post them below.
